Target announced, along with a whose who in the site impairment organization world, that the company will install new accommodations at every target store that will make shopping at Target easier for the sight impaired. By December 2009, all target stores will be equipped.
The enhancement to point of sale devices will include tactile keypads that allow those with visual impairments to effectively and safely enter payment information. Universally appraised for its effort to better serve the visually impaired, Target representatives hope that other retail chains will follow suit with similar accommodations.
